Benefits:

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in FF&E specification writing, preferably in interior projects.
Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Requirements:

Write detailed technical specifications for FF&E items, including dimensions, materials, finishes, and installation instructions.
Work closely with designers, architects, and purchasing department to ensure that specifications meet project requirements and timelines.
Maintain and manage digital libraries and catalogs of FF&E items, ensuring all information is up-to-date and organized.
Ensure that all FF&E items meet the required standards and specifications before procurement and installation.
Assist in budgeting and cost estimation for FF&E items, ensuring that selections are within the project budget.
Conduct research on new materials, products, and industry trends to ensure specifications are current and innovative.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain product information and samples.
Establish Quality Control procedures for all specification writing.
Assist in the development of project manuals and other documentation as required.
Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the design and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Interior Designer with a strong background in FF&E Specification Writing to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and editing FF&E specifications for commercial interior projects. This role requires close collaboration with project architects, designers, consultants and vendors to ensure the accuracy and quality of all specifications.
